How much are membership dues?

Membership dues are $15 per year. We deliberately keep our dues low to ensure our programming is as affordable and accessible as possible.

Am I too old to join?

No! YPIA welcomes both young and young-at-heart professionals. We welcome people of all backgrounds and are happy to have seasoned and experienced professionals join to mentor our younger members.

i would like to work for YPIA. are you hiring?

YPIA is a 100% volunteer-run organization, and we are always happy to bring on new volunteers to help us with our programming. While we do not pay our volunteers, volunteering for YPIA will give you many opportunities to network and interact with professionals who could later become career connections. You never know who your next boss might be.

do i need to have a job in international affairs to join YPIA?

No! YPIA members come from many professional backgrounds, even those outside of the foreign affairs field. If you have an interest in learning more about foreign affairs, the YPIA community is the place for you!

does ypia have any chapters outside of washington, D.c.?

As of 2018, YPIA is active only in the Washington, D.C. metro region. However, we are currently planning to expand to other cities in the imminent future!
